American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Pensacola is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pensacola follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The 3 young ladies working today 7/5 at 2:30P did not want to be there and they definitely didnβt want to have to help people that had kids with them. They nonstop rolled their eyes at each other while weβd walk around looking at the different options. I donβt know the last time I have felt more uncomfortable in an establishment. It was obvious that they were annoyed by our presence and the location wasnβt even busy at the time. When we were about to leave, they were all sitting in the corner on their phones by the drive thru and a large group was about to walk in. Again, the eye rolls at each other. Wonβt be back.

I honestly have no idea why Marble Slab Creamery is sitting at just over 4 starsβthis place is fantastic. βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ From the outside, it has that classic, quaint roadside ice cream stand vibe that immediately feels welcoming and nostalgic. But once you step inside, it completely overdelivers. The shop is spotless, well-kept, and surprisingly comfortableβcool, clean, and inviting, which is exactly what you want when youβre escaping the Florida heat. And then thereβs the ice creamβ¦ which is the real star of the show. Itβs seriously excellent. If youβve been to Cold Stone, thatβs the closest comparisonβbut this feels more authentic. It has that homemade, small-business quality that makes everything taste richer and more thoughtfully made. You can tell this isnβt just churned outβitβs crafted. The mix-ins, the texture, the freshnessβit all hits. Whether youβre going classic or building something custom, it feels like a treat in the best way. Overall, this place feels like a hidden gem. Great atmosphere, super clean, and top-tier ice cream. Iβll absolutely be back.
